Elguja Berandze, Deputy Head of the Customs Department of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, presented Davit Kapanadze, Managing Director of Sakcable, with a certificate confirming the company’s status as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) and a commemorative gift.

“I am delighted to present this prestigious title on behalf of the Revenue Service. The core principle of an Authorized Economic Operator is built on a partnership with business. This status grants preferential use of customs services and, importantly, recognizes the company as a safe and reliable partner. We believe that Sakcable’s commitment to high standards of security and trust will positively impact the country’s economic development and enhance the uninterrupted supply chain of their products,” – stated Berandze at the official opening ceremony of Sakcable’s retooled enterprise and new showroom in Zestafoni.

“We appreciate this trust. Today, we were granted the responsible title of AEO, which offers Sakcable simplified and priority customs opportunities and affirms our status as a reliable business partner. This benefit will facilitate the disposal of imported goods and streamline customs operations, allowing us to conduct processes quickly. We will operate more efficiently with existing and future partners in EU member states where our products are positioned. For potential partners, especially in the EU, this status proves that our company is authorized, trusted, operates in good faith, and is strong and development-oriented,” –  said Davit Kapanadze, Managing Director of Sakcable.

With the association agreement between Georgia and the European Union, Georgia has committed to aligning its customs procedures with European regulations. These regulations include the implementation of the Authorized Economic Operator concept, fostering a partnership between the customs system and businesses.

The new status provides companies with simplified customs opportunities, including reduced frequency of physical and documentary inspections and priority customs clearance procedures. Additional information about the AEO status and the application procedure can be found here.

We would like to remind you that Sakcable joins eight other Georgian companies that have been granted AEO status: Demas LLC, Gosselin Mobility Georgia LLC, Charm Trading LLC, Georgian Wine and Spirits Company LLC, JSC Chateau Mukhrani, Georgian Distribution and Marketing Company LLC, and Havi Logistics LLC.
